The simple notion of this argument is meaningless, as waffles clearly come out as the winner in every scenario. Need a place to hold your sweet, syrupy goodness? Good thing that waffle has boxes, your syrup, butter, and other deliciousness fits right on there. Pancakes, on the other hand, lack the fine traits that make waffles so much better. If you want to apply some sugary goodness on that plain, inedible, piece of cardboard you've got to prepare to get messy. Now don't get me wrong, if you want to waste your time eating that garbage do as you wish, but I know in my heart and Seoul (S. Korea) that waffles are superior.
While it is true that waffles can hold your syrup in squares, where's the fun in that? Pancakes strive to be not only the tastier of the two, but the more versatile as well as adventurous. Want blueberry pancakes? No problem. Chocolate chip? Easy. In fact, why don't we make the entire pancake chocolate? That sounds delicious. Want to do that with waff - oh wait YOU CAN'T!
Pancakes were meant to be more adventurous. After all, who stacks waffles for fun? This ENCOURAGES eating multiple pancakes. In fact, you can eat multiple pancakes at once! With waffles, on the other hand, eating only 2 or 3 is acceptable. While it is true that waffles may hold your syrup in squares, that's boring. Who wants to eat stagnant syrup? Pancakes, on the other hand, allow the syrup to flow freely down your stack, evenly distributing everywhere throughout your meal.
Furthermore, pancakes can be cooked into different shapes, whereas waffles are limited to being a boring, monotonous, square of weariness.
If you wish to live the boring life, choose waffles. However, if you want to be fun, adventurous, and have a tasty, diverse meal, pancakes are the only option.
Humans may be a great fan of breakfast foods, but not all breakfast foods are created equal. Pancakes, while sometimes favorable, can be inconsistent; waffles, however, are perfect in every way, shape, and form, eliminating user error. A pancake is made from batter, but a waffle is made from the hopes and dreams of mankind. Waffles are better than pancakes because of their consistency and equally sized portions, among other things.
Variety:
Waffles can be made into pretty much anything, and aren't limited to batter. To make a waffle, all that is needed are two simple materials: a waffle iron, and food of some sort. If someone were tired of their flat, monotone flour waffles, then they would simply need to load the waffle iron with hashbrowns and, in no time, they would have a tasty hashbrown waffle. If they did not like hashbrowns, then it's a good thing that they've got that waffle iron: they can load it up with anything and, very shortly, they'll be able to eat the breakfast of their dreams!
Additionally, pancakes, while easier to spread butter on, are messy when the best toppings are applied. One of the highest authorities in the land of the American States United is the Original Pancake House; after all, they are the "ORIGINAL" house of pancakes, unlike some international versions you may see elsewhere. Their statement on the application of toppings is thus: "Thanks to the little square grid on both sides, you’ll never have any runoff of butter or syrup. The grid design, according to waffle junkies, makes them more acceptable for formal breakfast occasions. Sure, pancakes can soak it in, but most of the time, it ends up being a sticky mess!" ("Breakfast Face Off") If the original PANCAKE house favors waffles in this manner, surely all pancake lovers must convert to the great religion that is waffles.
Time & Preparation:
For some, waking up is a chore. Everyone hates their alarm clock and has experienced days when they are forced to rush to get to work or school on time. The major differences between pancakes and waffles are the amount of time it takes to make them, and how much work it takes to make them. On days when someone is running late, they often simply pop what they want into theirr waffle maker, turn it on, flip it once, and voilà; they can then enjoy the quickly made waffle. However, what if they were running late and instead wanted pancakes? They should be prepared to be late; pancakes require a large amount of time and preparation to make. It stands to mention that the hypothetical stranger has already messed up because they like pancakes more than waffles.
iHop:
If even the Supreme Authority on all foods breakfast, the International House Of Pancakes, makes it a point to serve waffles, then they must be compensating for something. Maybe the "International House Of Waffles" was already taken? The main point is the fact that if a restaurant whose main marketing scheme involves pancakes, then why would they serve waffles? Well, the only logical answer here is that waffles are much, much better than pancakes. "They went there to eat pancakes," is what all the critics would say at this point, to which it can be explained thusly: iHOP has a reputation for serving pancakes, not waffles; however, they wish to begin serving waffles. After all, IHOP themselves say that "What’s golden brown on the outside and warm and soft on the inside? The one and only IHOP® waffles" ("Waffles").This is exactly what iHop is trying to do: Bring customers in with the promise of alright pancakes, but give them the opportunity to purchase even better waffles!
Portions & Calorie Counting:
Diets are not uncommon these days; therefore, it's a good thing that waffles, unlike pancakes, always have the same portion size when made in the same iron. All one would have to do is pour whatever they wanted into an already pre-set waffle iron, and their portions will always come out the same! This is helpful for counting calorie intakes for the day. On the other hand, trying to control portions and calories when making pancakes can be excruciatingly painful, if not impossible. Pancakes have no set size, so one can continue pouring pancake batter to make a massive slab of cardboard-tasting pancake, which could end up ruining the diet! It is advisable to use the easiest path to a wholesome and tasty breakfast; forgo pancakes and instead go with waffles.
Consistency:
When the waffle pops out of the waffle iron, it is guaranteed that the waffle will be of the perfect shape; circular in nature, but square on the side. Pancakes, however, come in many different sizes and forms; while some may be the perfect circle and consistency, others may be less circular, burnt, too bubbly, not sufficiently cooked, or other abnormalities. One bad pancake can ruin the taste of every other in the batch. Waffles, however, do not have this problem; the humble waffle is always perfection.
Pancakes, although tasty, pale in comparison to the great waffle. Waffles are consistent, pleasing to the eye, and topping-friendly, not to mention tasty whilst pancakes are neither of these previously mentioned important things. Next time you find yourself at a house of pancakes, whether it be international or original, do the right thing. Let go of the pancake; instead, choose the waffle.

In this post, I plan to address Akali's concerns regarding pancakes, and refute them by not only denying many of his claims, but reversing them back against him, to prove once and for all that pancakes rule supreme. Firstly, I would like to point out that Akali used many hyperboles in his previous post, such as : “A pancake is made from batter, but a waffle is made from the hopes and dreams of mankind.” (Lines 2, 3), and two sentences later he states: “Waffles can be made into pretty much anything, and aren't limited to batter” (Line 5). In this post, I will be saying just the facts, without using overly exaggerated statements falsely lure readers into my argument.
Variety:
In Alkali’s argument he explains how waffles are not limited to batter, but can be made out of any material the consumer desires. While this is a valid and sounds argument, the same argument can be made for pancakes. therefore, this section of Akali's argument fails to mention the advantage that waffles have over pancakes.
Akali then quotes The Original Pancake House, in which some potential advantages that waffles have over pancakes are described, such as them being neater and more formal. While it is true that waffles may be neater, I do not think this is a relevant point. As I mentioned in my previous post, pancakes strive to be the more adventurous of the two. Waffles play the safe card, holding syrup in allotted squares. Pancakes, on the other hand, have character. They allow they syrup to flow freely over the large stack.
Akali also claims that in the sited text (it can be visited in the sources section of Akali’s post or at the bottom of this one), that the original pancake house favors waffles. However, by simply reading the website, one can easily see that out of the 6 persuasive paragraphs, 4 of them favor pancakes! The reasons given are that pancakes are healthier (They have nearly 30% less fat), better for add-ins (chocolate chips, blueberries), easier to spread butter over, and size. The largest pancake ever made was 50 feet in diameter, while the largest waffle made was only 8 feet.
Time & Preparation:
According to Esquire.com, the time between when one pours the pancake batter onto the stove, and when one should take it off, is about 5 minutes, which is hardly a long period of time.
iHop:
It is true that the International House of Pancakes does serve waffles, however that is merely a business strategy to satisfy the misled consumers, such as Akali, who prefer waffles to pancakes. I believe the main reason that iHop serves waffles is to satisfy those people that get brought along to iHop during family meals, and would otherwise, have nothing to eat. Out of iHop’s 97 meal choices (Not including kids meals), only 8.2% are waffles. Their pancake menu ranges from the delicious Banana Macadamia Nut Pancakes and the scrumptious Strawberry Passionfruit pancakes to their stunning Red Velvet pancakes and their perfect Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Waffle House is one of the most popular waffle houses in the world, however their waffle menu is extremely narrow. This proves just how much more diverse pancakes are than waffles.
Portions & Calorie Counting:
Akali claims that Waffles are better for maintaining a diet because they are always the same size. If one wished to include pancakes in their diet, there would be no problem. All he or she would have to do is simply use a measuring cup to ensure that every pancake is the same size. Regarding which is healthier, I have previously mentioned that pancakes have about 30% less fast than waffles, and pancakes also have less calories (227 per 100 grams whereas waffles have 291). Pancakes outperform waffles in the health category in total fat, saturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, monounsaturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium, but a full list can be viewed at the website given for Breakfast Face Off given below. With that said, there is no reason why one would have to make pancakes the same size. While waffles are limited to the shape and size of the waffle iron, pancakes are free. They can be any shape, or any size.
Consistency:
While waffles may always turn out the same, that’s boring. Pancakes, on the other hand, can be any shape or size one wishes. One can make an airplane shaped pancake, or even a tron light cycle shaped one. They are quick to make, and abnormalities are rare, though they do occur. Baking a pancake is an art. One has to care for his or her pancake, and nurture it so that it can become the perfect reality of what they wish it to be. Because of this, pancakes clearly outperform waffles in this category.
It is estimated that pancakes have been enjoyed by people for around 30,000 years. Though the exact ingredients have changed, the premise has remained constant. People want a meal that is delicious, versatile, and exciting, while still being easy to cook and healthy. Pancakes rise above waffles in every category. They are more versatile. You can put almost any topping in or on your pancake. They are easy to cook, they are healthier than waffles, and they are more fun than waffles. This is why they have lasted 30,00 years. They are clearly the better option in all ways.

As your argument is sound, there is one major concern I must point out here:
To which I reply, If Head cannot even remember the name of the game we play, or even bother to spell it correctly, how can we trust his judgement on pancakes vs waffles?
And if that doesn't persuade you, then allow this:
Checkmate. I win.
EDIT: Muaha, editing your previous post I see? That's why I got a screenshot of your typo!
That's quite dirty, I call foul-play.
wtf o-o
Pancakes are good for clapping and waffles are good for eating. When it comes to playing around with friends, slapping your friend in the face with a pancake is more enjoyable then a waffle. On other hand the waffle is iconic and delicious.
I'd have to go with pancakes for playing and waffles for eating (of course not the blue kind).
